1. Dedicated AI Prompt Marketplaces
These are platforms made specifically for buying and selling AI prompts.
- RentPrompts – A growing marketplace for selling ChatGPT, MidJourney, and other AI prompts. Perfect for creators who want to sell both individual and bundled prompts.
- PromptBase – One of the first major prompt-selling platforms. Supports multiple AI models with global exposure.
- PromptSea – A blockchain-based marketplace where prompts can be sold as NFTs for exclusive ownership.
Why use them? They already have AI-savvy audiences, which means you don’t have to convince people why your prompt is valuable.
If you enjoy creating custom AI prompts for specific use cases, freelance marketplaces give you more flexibility.
- Fiverr – Ideal for offering niche prompt-writing services like “MidJourney prompts for book covers” or “ChatGPT prompts for email marketing.”
- Upwork – Best for long-term contracts with companies needing ongoing AI prompt expertise.
- PeoplePerHour – Smaller but less competitive than Fiverr, making it easier to stand out.
3. Sell Prompts on Your Own Website
Building your own store gives you complete control over branding and pricing.
- Use Gumroad, Shopify, or WordPress + WooCommerce.
- Offer free sample prompts alongside premium bundles.
- Build an email list so you can sell directly to your audience without marketplace fees.
If you have a following, social platforms can drive prompt sales fast.
- Instagram & Pinterest – Showcase AI-generated visuals from your prompts.
- LinkedIn – Sell B2B prompts for marketing, HR, or corporate content.
- Twitter/X – Engage in AI communities, share free mini-prompts, and offer the full version for sale.
5. AI Communities & Discord Groups
Many AI-focused communities have “marketplace” channels where you can list your prompts for sale.
Always check community rules before posting — some encourage it, others don’t.
